Four or five years ago I can remember counting each and every little peach that began to grow on this tree. I would count them every morning to make sure I didn't lose any - either by dropping off naturally, a random soccer ball hitting the tree and knocking one off, or some unknown neighbor helping themselves to a delicious treat. My tree still isn't that big, but I don't count them anymore. I do check them each day...hoping today is the day to pick one and enjoy the yummy, juicy fruit. Now my little tree is prolific enough so I can make a few batches of jam, maybe even a pie as well as enough to just eat right off the tree. Plant a peach tree in your yard. You won't regret it one bit!
